Objectives, content and method of the course:
The purpose and aim of this course is to introduce students to key concepts in the overlapping fields of comparative corporate law theory and economic analysis of law. Students will be able to understand different approaches corporate governance and regulation, as well as underlying principles shared throughout jurisdictions.
Students will read selected texts on these topics and discuss them in class.

Type of performance control:
Students will be required to read one to two texts every week, send a question related to the topic of the text and discuss the topic in class. Additionally, each student will write one short paper, about one of the topics discussed in class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria:
The Monday before each class, the students will submit a question regarding the topic of the class. Additionally, each student will write a short paper (four to six pages) on one of the topics. Students will be evaluated on the basis of the quality of their paper, as well as their participation in class, especially during the discussions.
