Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung: After a brief introduction to the legal system of the EU, the course covers the different economic forms of European integration and the four fundamental economic freedoms of the European Internal Market, i.e. free movement of goods, services, capital, and persons. Methods: Lecture and discussion.

Art der Leistungskontrolle: Written final exam. The TEU and TFEU can be used (plain text without any
comments).

Mindestanforderung und Beurteilungsmaßstab: 50% for a passing grade, based on the written final exam.

Prüfungsstoff: Topics covered during the class meetings.

Literatur: Karen Davies, Understanding European Union Law, 6th ed. (2016), Routledge. This textbook is an optional complementary reading for this course.
